Job seeking with a taste of sake

Career Expo 2012 by was my number one in my to-do list last week and I went there last Saturday. I really hope none of my collegues read my blog hahaaha.

Yup, I am on a job finding spree and I plan to find a position in Singapore. I think it’s time to move on from my current company. Wah, Arms, not even a year and you’re planning to leave already?! Well, my actual plan when I came here last year was to get a job in overseas but didn’t managed to. So this year, I want to. Sorry la current company, after you changed my post from Customer Service Officer to Planner, that was the final straw. Not that I don’t enjoy my current job, but I prefer my old one. Wakakaa.

So, that day, I drove in to Singapore and went to park at my gf’s apartment building, and then we took the rapid transit to Suntec City Convention Center.

Upon arriving, I was expecting lots and lots of Homo sapiens but didn’t expect the crowd to be like this.

There was a looong queue obviously and actually it was longer because my camera can’t get the whole view. Also, there was a long queue upstairs, a queue to get into the expo hall. So after ‘registering’ myself, we had to get lunch first. And we were to meet my gf’s best buddy for lunch since she is also finding a job there. Met her and her boyfriend, took some pictures but sadly, we were using their camera. I didn’t get any snaps :(

So, we went to a nearby restaurant, Wasabi Bistro. And since they are treating us lunch, why not have lunch here. Kekee.

If you’re wondering, the waitress is pouring sake for the guys and the ones already on the table, for the ladies, is the umeshu. Had two glasses of sake by the way, which is needed for a boost in confidence… That’s the only positive outcome I could think of from drinking alcohol in the afternoon. LOL.

While waiting for the chef to do his magic, the view from the restaurant is just damn awesome to ignore.

You can even see the Marina Bay Sands building from here.

If I get a job… oops, scratch that. I mean, WHEN I get a job there in Singapore, which I hope is very very soon, one of the first things I plan to do is to go on top of that ship-like building.

Makanan dah sampai! Itadakimasu!

Like a food blogger, I would want to introduce each of them to you, but I’m not a food blogger, so I won’t. Wakakaa. Another reason is I couldn’t as all I can see are fishes and prawns, some lemons and green stuff. Waka waka.

And thanks PhotoBucket for making it possible to see our faces here. Before this, there was the amazing view outside but can’t see my face.

Enough of eating, viewing and taking pictures. Let’s get down to business!

Here are some of the pictures I took at the expo, unfortunately, I only took some. Because I was concentrating on finding singapore dollars. Heeeee.

After taking some name cards, and submitting resumes, I was done. But kept surveying and taking brochures.

There were also some mini games at the expo. No time to play though.

And at the end of the day, fatigued. Bye bye, see you again, Singapura.
