Hangover

Last night I finished work at 8pm. Sot kan. Was stressed so I called my buddy just to check where he is. He was outside somewhere and we decided to have a short  drink, just 1 jug kunun. We went to a casual pub. Not too noisy, not crowded, that’s what I like about the place and we get to play some pool too.

Then his brother came. Now at this exact moment, I should’ve just called it a night. Because he added two more jugs… and I was like, “To hell with it, I need a drink.” LOL. And with every sip of beer, my guilt feeling was fading slowly, bit by bit… or should I say, ounce by ounce. Wakakaa.

First we were drinking but we felt hungry so my friend’s brother brought us to this fancy restaurant. We ate some lamb and beef and had one glass of wine each. And he was commenting about the food and drink and all. Don’t play-play ooo, he’s actually a chef specialising in Italian cuisine and working in Singapore. So when he said the food was nice, both of us were just like, “Erm, ya ya nice nice.”

I also met a fellow Sabahan there, the waiter. When he heard I spoke, he went, “Are you a Sabahan, sir?” “Yes. Sabahan too izit?” sia reply. “Ya.” It’s always a great feeling to meet one of Orang Kita over here. Then I asked him where is the toilet… while trying to get his slang out.

Arms: Boss, mana tandas kamu ni?
Waiter, si Jerry nama dia: Ko jalan lurus ja. Ada tu sign dia di hujung.
Arms: Nakan, kuluar suda slang ko hahahaa.
Jerry: Hahaa gitu la tu.

Eniweiz, after late dinner, we went back to the pub and ordered a few more rounds of the cheapest but also one of the best beer in the world, si Harimau, ngggaaaumm. Eh, harimau ka singa ka tu? Biarla.

And I arrived home around 2. Thanks ya, buddies, for making me drunk. Thank you, very much (Sarcastic but also sincere at the same time muahahaa).

Fast forward, I’m here at the office writing this entry and my head hurts like fffffuuu! And do note that I started writing this one since morning (9am) and continuing now (17:13:32) and thank goodness I’m almost done hehee.

But wait, my main point was actually to show how I overcome the hangover.

A wasabi flavoured snack. I don’t really like wasabi but this keropok changed my hatred towards the wasabi species. Hahaa.

And mee laksa. Daaammnn nice. Probably because I skipped breakfast. You know what they say, everything tastes nice when you’re hungry.

It doesn’t look nice actually. LOL. But the taste, nyam nyam… terus hilang ni hangover sia… and also it made my face sweat like… well, like a cat’s nose. Because a cat’s nose is always wet. Harhar.

Moral of the story: Don’t drink a lot. But if you did, mee laksa is one of the answer for the next morning. Heeee.

Happy Tuesday, all!
