The other day, I had a small argument with someone… let’s just call her Miss C la, okay? Wakakaa.
So ya, we had an argument regarding a chicken delicacy.
Is it called Buntut Ayam or Ayam Buntut?
Mr A: I dunno if they got sell Buntut Ayam here or not.
Ms C: It’s Ayam Buntut la.
Mr A: Erm, no. It’s Buntut Ayam.
Ms C: No, no… Ayam Buntut.
Mr A: Okay, easy. Just translate it.
Ms C: Buntut Ayam is Ass Chicken. Ayam Buntut is Chicken Ass.
Mr A: Eh, wait. Malay to English of course got ‘terbalik’ la.
Ms C: Okay, then Buntut Ayam is Chicken Ass. Ayam Buntut is Ass Chicken.
Mr A: Chicken’s Ass la. And you see, it’s not Ass Chicken. Ass Chicken is like saying that a particular chicken is an ass. And Chicken’s Ass obviously means it’s a chicken’s butt part. Hahaa.
Ms C: Okay la, you win, you win.
Mr A: I must blog about this.
(That awesome moment when you have an argument with a girl and you win. Wuahahaa.)
Now the conversation didn’t go exactly like that and I may have exaggerated at the end there. But we did argue about it and I stand on my ground. So, which one do you think it is?

buntut ayam is grammatically correct in BM.
in English, chicken ass/butt is not literally means the butt of a chicken. more like a joke phrase. that part where telur comes out, the vet call it cloaca. Aaah google saja bah ^^

if you notice, we here in Sabah use “buntut ayam”, “pisang goreng” etc which is gramatically correct as pointed out by Chegu Carol. over in peninsular is “ayam buntut” or “goreng pisang”.

Hmm I don’t really know. But the other day when I bought some of the satay, they told me it was buntut ayam. Hehee.
But goreng pisang tu puas I heard always.

I’m with Mr. A! hahahahahah and I always refer buntut ayam as chicken ass, too. Probably because I don’t like them. So if perempuan really does gemar makan buntut ayam, i guess that rule doesn’t apply to me ^o^
Hahaa not many girls like them la. Maybe once a while la. But too many fat in the satay. wakaka.
